I worked with Dev Dharm for several years on a Dena'ina place names related project. Dev Dharm's service was invaluable to the project. Not just on the level of an excellent photographer, but because of his open-mindedness and down to earth nature. He easily connected with people (including youth), in the communities, at a personal level. This was key to our project and enhanced his insight into, not only what he photographed, but how he photographed. He saw the story behind the picture and this was a huge benefit to what he offered for my project.
